August 16, 2008

Our national spokesperson, Chef Michael Smith, helped us celebrate in style once again this year!  We enjoyed the best weekend weather of the summer as we celebrated under the stars surrounded by Food Network celebrities! The event sold out fast and there's already a waiting list for next year's tickets!  Highlights from the evening include Bob Blumer auctioning off his bowling pin peppermill, watching the Food Jammers make cheese dust into delicious treats, learning how to eat Roger Mooking's unique creation, and meeting all of our favourite celebrities!

Pictures and more will soon be posted on this page, so be sure to check back in the next few days.  If you have pictures from the event that you want to share on this site, send them to chefstable@thecef.org

We hope you enjoyed yourself at the Distillery District, and we're looking forward to seeing you at next year's event.  We want your feedback about things you really liked and things you think we should know for next year.  Please take a moment to answer 6 short questions for us, then make sure you check out the other events listed on this page!

March 22, 2008

Toronto Marlies hosted CEF in support of breakfast clubs and lunch programs on March 22, 2008.  We all had a fantastic evening watching the Marlies conquer the Bulldogs!

Thanks to all the CEF supporters who joined us for a fantastic night.  Proceeds from ticket sales will help us feed more children in breakfast clubs and lunch programs!

The Distillery District Walk for Child Hunger
in support of The Children's Emergency Foundation

CEF wants to thank everyone who joined us in the Distillery Historic District on September 23.

Our generous corporate sponsors and most importantly, all the participants and volunteers at the walk who helped us raise more than $20,000 to help us feed hungry children at breakfast clubs, lunch programs, and snack programs throughout Canada.

Thanks to everyone who made An Evening at the Chefs' Table presented by Food Network an incredible success.  Together with all our guests, partners, and of course, the chefs, we raised over $25,000 to put towards feeding hungry children in Canada!

We're already planning for next year's event!  If you would like to be updated about our plans for next year's event and to find out when tickets become available, let us know by using the 'contact us' button.
